...and Captain Flanagan; like Commissioner Barton (whom you met on page 3), directly influenced by the 1966 Batman TV series. Stafford Repp's "Chief O'Hara" was the inspiration for Capt. Flanagan, along with all the stereotypical "Oirish cops" of Golden Age movies and old-time radio.
