And now we come to the first art I'd finished that was intended for public viewing... intended as the first/splash page for this unfinished story, as well as a breathlessly waiting world's "first look" at the magnificent manga-maid of muscle.

Like the previous drawing, this one dates from 1991; by this time I think I'd decided to go for publication with Tetsuko, but even though (or maybe because) women's bodybuilding was beginning to develop bigger and bigger competitors (and thus drawing down the wrath of a culture growing even more hostile to muscular women), I was still a little squeamish about presenting too radical a physique in what I still thought then was going to be a "mainstream" comic book. (Humorous, when you consider what she looks like today!)
