This is probably my favorite part of my characterization of Charlotte: the fact that she adopted as her "alter ego" a woman almost anachronistically prim, proper and prudish in her own dress and behavior, and also highly disapproving of the heroine's penchant for public nudity when fighting Crime and Evil (to throw off suspicion that she might be the "Voluptuous Avenger" herself!).

This might have been a good page on which to end this chapter, except for one small detail: we haven't met the real villain of the piece yet! That happens on the next page...
