This drawing was inspired by a drawing I'd seen on a Japanese artist's website sometime within the last month or so (as of April 2006), but I'll be danged if I can remember whose work it was, or which site it's on. All I remember is the similar situation and pose, which I thought would suit Tet-chan well. If I ever do see that drawing again, or someone can provide me a link to it, I'll link to it here so you can see the original for yourself, and acknowledge the source of the inspiration.

Update, May 22, 2006: Found it! Turns out it's an illustration for the anime series Onegai Teiichaa a.k.a. "Please Teacher"; this is one of the main characters, Mizuho Kazami. (I still have no idea who the artist is, though.) The pose is a little different, and Mizuho's wearing a little more than Tetsuko is, but it was the expression on the face (and the Pocky crumbs on the bosom) that inspired me to render a similar illustration for Tet-chan.
