I like the physique in this drawing; not happy with the face.

This was an attempt to do a more manga-style mouth on Tetsuko. If you've read more than a few manga (or watch a bit of anime), you'll probably have noticed how few times the women in them have lips. This has been one of the attributes of the manga style that I've had the most trouble emulating; for one thing, delineated lips are one of the formulae that Western comics have used to distinguish female from male characters. And for another thing, I like drawing Tetsuko's lips!

I tried the "lipless" approach to Tetsuko's expressions on this page of Tetsuko #2 (Warning: NSFW - nudity) and got some complaints from some readers that I'd made Tetsuko "look too much like a man." So... I guess I'm not going to try this approach very often in the future.
