I like the pose of her right arm, as though she's holding a cigarette; but Tetsuko doesn't smoke, so I wanted her to be holding something else: how about a purse? Looking back on this drawing, it occurs to me that I'm a bit deficient in accessorizing my heroines. (Probably because my own wife Janet isn't much on wearing bracelets or necklaces, or even carrying a purse.)
