The Very First Tetsuko Story! - Page 1

Think of this as a "commentary track" like you'd find on a DVD. The art on these pages is very rough in some spots, and as a result the flow of the storytelling isn't as clear as it would have been in a subsequent polish. So I will try to "narrate" the action where I think it isn't clear.

Panel 1 shows a comparatively scrawny* Tetsuko rushing to her bank, hoping to transact some quick business before an important appointment (a session with - or as - a personal trainer?). Once inside the bank (Panel 2), she stares in amazement and frustration at the long, long line of customers already waiting for service. Panel 3 shows Tet-chan checking her watch as she slowly advances to the front of the line. Finally, she gets to a window where she sees her friend (whose name is lost to history). Before they can engage in much chit-chat, however, the bank is rocked by a gigantic quake-like WHOOOM! As Tetsuko regains her feet, her friend points in terror toward the source of the disturbance: a battering ram has punched a large hole in the wall of the bank!

*I don't remember exactly when I drew these pages, but I must have had in mind that this comic was going to be aimed at a more "mainstream" audience than at a fan base of muscle-women admirers, else I'd have drawn her more muscular even here. On the other hand, quite a few of the earliest drawings I did of Tetsuko show her more slim-but-buffed rather than outrageously muscular (and buxom), and I can see an evolution toward the more massive physique she bares bears today.
