The "Muscle Beauty" Collection

The following five pictures were commissioned by the owner of a (now sadly defunct) Japanese website, "Muscle Beauty". He loved the idea of a manga/anime style muscle-woman as the "mascot" of his site, but wanted me to "tone down" the mass and muscularity with which I was already (circa 2001) endowing Tet-chan. ...So if you're a fan of a sleeker "fitness" or lightweight-bodybuilder physique, you might like these.

The most interesting thing (well, to me, anyway) about the website for which these were done was that most of the drawings were featured in an area devoted to Tetsuko herself, and called "Tetsuko no Heya" ("Tetsuko's Room"); which just happens also to be the name of a long-running show on Japanese tetlevision, hosted by Kuroyanagi Tetsuko (one of my character's two namesakes).

(By the way: those are photographs forming the backgrounds of two of the pictures.)
